KP Gates

Architect-led automation for a contemporary residence

The project involved the automation of a distinctive pair of swing gates for a contemporary country house, working in close collaboration with the project architects to deliver a solution that respected the original design intent while ensuring safe, reliable operation.

Appointed by SOTA Design, we carefully assessed the architectural concept and engineered a bespoke automation solution capable of accommodating the scale and weight of the gates without compromising aesthetics. Detailed CAD design was undertaken to model bespoke hinges and drive shoes ahead of CNC cutting and fabrication, ensuring precision and structural integrity throughout.

All metalwork was finished in the client’s chosen RAL colour, providing a refined and cohesive appearance. A heavy duty underground automation system was installed to reliably operate gates measuring 90mm in thickness and exceeding 300kg per leaf, delivering smooth, discreet  and reliable performance.

The works were carried out in close coordination with all trades on site, resulting in a fully integrated, architect-approved installation that combines contemporary design with robust engineering.
