Automated entrances for a historic estate

This project involved the automation of multiple gate systems across a historic Gloucestershire estate, delivered with sensitivity to the architectural and historical significance of the property.

Introduced by Donkeywell Forge (a local blacksmiths), who were commissioned to restore the estate’s gates and railings, we were tasked with designing and installing automation across three separate entrances: the principal front entrance, an internal estate gate, and the historic home gate.

Each system incorporated stainless steel underground motor foundation casings and slim-profile safety edges to ensure discreet integration and reliable performance without compromising the visual integrity of the restored ironwork.

The works were approached with careful consideration for the estate’s heritage, ensuring that all the modern intervention remained sympathetic and aligned with the character of the property.

The result is a cohesive, estate-wide automation that enhances accessibility and security while preserving the historic setting.
